What is Palateable?

Palateable is a meal delivery service that offers healthy, delicious gourmet meals delivered right to your home or office. Our meals require no preparation or cooking, just heat and eat!

What areas does Palateable serve?

Right now we are delivering to most zip codes within greater Los Angeles including (but not limited to) Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Culver City, Santa Monica, Malibu, Glendale, Pasadena, and Burbank. Be sure to verify your zip code though!

Where do your ingredients come from?

Palateable is committed to using organic (whenever possible!), locally sourced ingredients from California based farms and vendors. We've been working with most of our suppliers for over a decade and are dedicated to partnering only with people and companies who share our commitment to quality, freshness and protecting the environment. Do I need to prepare or cook anything?

Nope! No meal kits here! Save time, effort and money by not having to do any of the hard work. Just heat, eat and enjoy our delicious, healthy meals.

I have food allergies, should I be concerned?

While we use culinary best practices when preparing our meals, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergens. All of our major ingredients are listed in their individual menu items, except for any seasoning used such as salt and pepper. If you have any severe allergies, please list them on the notes section of your order and we can contact you if there are any issues.

Is ordering safe and secure?

Absolutely, yes! Our entire website, including the shopping cart and checkout, is secured, encrypted and fully PCI compliant. Your personal information is safe with us and never shared with a third party. We offer secure and trusted payment methods through Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Learn more about our PCI compliance through Shopify.

How do I place an order?

Super easy! Start by browsing through our menu, select some entrees, appetizers, desserts and if you have kids, we offer kid friendly options your little ones would love as well. Or if they're like our little guy, they can just order off the regular menu. You can also select one of our meal plans, which offers 4, 6, 8 or 10 entrees at a discounted price, then pick your delivery date. We deliver on Mondays so no more Monday blues. Just heat, eat and enjoy!

How often is your menu updated?

Our entree menu is updated weekly on Mondays. Our appetizers, desserts and kids menus are updated seasonally. Lastly, some of our customer favorites are main stays on our menu so they'll always be there for you! If you had something you loved and want it again but don't see it on our menu, feel free to reach out by emailing us at hello@palateable.com and we'll see what we can do!

How do the meal plans work?

Our meal plans are weekly subscriptions that will be delivered weekly. Subscriptions can be paused, skipped or cancelled at any time by logging into your account.

I've subscribed to a meal plan, when can I update my meals for next week?

Our entree menu is updated weekly every Monday and you'll have until 11:59pm on Thursday to make your selections for the following week, beginning with Monday's deliveries. If your weekly selections are not made, our team will choose your meals based on your order history and our most popular dishes.

Do I need an account?

No, creating an account is optional but recommended, especially if you subscribe to one of our meal plans. By having an account, you will be able to manage your subscriptions and orders, select your meals weekly, and track your orders. You can create an account here.

How does your delivery work?

When ordering, you can enter your zip code and select your preferred delivery date in the cart as soon as two days from the time you order to allow for cooking and to ensure freshness.

How much does Palateable charge for delivery?

Delivery is free on all orders over $50. For orders under $50, the delivery fee is dependent on your zip code.

When can I expect my delivery?

We deliver Monday through Friday between 9am to 5pm, and Saturday from 9am to 12pm.

Do I need to tip your drivers?

Nope! But also, no one ever hated a tip :)

I would like to place an order but Palateable does not deliver to my zip code, what can I do?

As a new small business, our goal is to quickly expand to all of Southern California and eventually California at large...before taking the nation by storm. Stay tuned and if you want to be one of the very first to know once we expand, subscribe to our newsletter!

Are your meals frozen?

Nope, our meals are made fresh for you with the best ingredients available! We do suggest putting them in the fridge as soon as possible upon receipt to ensure freshness. Order too much or stocking up for a rainy day? Go ahead and toss them in the freezer, then defrost whenever you're ready, heat, eat and enjoy!

How long are your meals good for?

Since we don’t use artificial or chemical preservatives, all of our meals have a refrigerated shelf life of about 5 days. Our meals taste best when eaten fresh, but you can freeze them if you don't get to them within their "use-by" timeframe. Please note, our salads do not freeze well!

Can I make special requests?

Absolutely! While we can't guarantee we'll be able to accommodate every special request, we will make every effort to do so! To make a special request, just add a note in the note section of your shopping cart.

Does Palateable cater?

Yes! We offer catering services for weddings, birthday parties, office events, business lunches, and more. Please email us at hello@palateable.com for more info.

What should I do if I'm not completely satisfied?
